Thoughts to Ponder

Power is not blessing in itself, except when it is used to protect the innocent.

Jonathan Swift (1667-1745), Irish essayist, satirist, political pamphleteer, poet, and Dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin.  Best known for his Gulliver's Travels, Swift is widely considered the foremost prose satirist in the English language, using his gifts as an Irish patriot, much to the chagrin of the English government.
